Today’s unsung heroes, literally, are an unidentified Air Canada pilot and Air Canada’ staff.
On a flight from Tel Aviv (Isreal) to Toronto (Canada), the Air Canada pilot noticed that the plane’s cargo heaters were malfunctioning. The pilot also noticed that the cargo held a French Bulldog named Simba whose life was now in danger. Though the news report doesn’t mention it, the pilot no doubt had seek permission from its air base to reroute the plane which was, in fact, diverted to Frankfurt (Germany) where Simba was placed on another plane and later reunited with his owner in Toronto.
We hope that the passengers of this flight were understanding of the need for the plane’s diversion.
