Hi there. I’m Mr. Beaujangles, a wise, suave, debonair, handsome and funny Weimeraner. Yeah, I know. “Weimeraner” is a difficult word to say, never mind remember. Some call us Weimies (pronounced “Why me”, which is probably what our 2-leggeds think when we’re up to our tricks). My nicknames are Beau and Beau-Beau, though my aunt calls me Bobolino (she’s Italian, so that’s OK).
Actually, you can call me anything you want, just don’t call me late for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Did I mention I love food? No, make that I adore food! In fact, let me see if there’s a nibble or two to be had if I go bother my two-legged. Okay, where was I? Oh, yeah, this is my 2-legged:
I can’t say enough good things about my 2-legged. He gives me daily massages, he home-cooks my food (did I mention I love food?), he takes me on 2 walks each day – which are great because I’m lucky enough to live in Southern California where it’s almost always sunny and warm. I do love walking by the Pacific and hearing the roar of the waves crashing on the shore, watching the sun sparkle over the ocean and the palm trees swaying in the breeze (did I mention I was very poetic and a huge romantic?).
Anyhow, this is about me not him. So… where was I? Oh, yeah. I’m a wise Weimeraner (practice saying it and you’ll get it) because, given my age (don’t ask), I’ve been around the bushes quite a few times and I’ve been observing my 2-legged and his friends and then pondering and cogitating about human actions which often baffle me. I’ve also been reading my fellow 4-leggeds’ peemails© so I know they too are baffled.
So in future blogs, I will be providing a 4-legged’s commentary on a wide variety of subjects, from politics to pet food (don’t get me started on this one… it’s amazing how we’re supposed to be your “best friend”, but you wouldn’t know it given the real yuck most of the pet “food” manufacturers market as “food.”); from religion (yikes, that’s a slippery slope but I am fearless! Well, okay, mostly fearless.) to the environment (really for having “dominion” over it, you are doing a poor job, though you’re doing better.); from women’s rights to corporate culture; and much more. I hope to provide a forum for people to think about issues and understand that this is a closed eco-system and that all 2-leggeds are one despite your seeming and apparent differences. Because I’m funny, I hope to provide all of this with humor though many subjects are indeed serious.
Speaking of which (the “funny” part that is), I’ll also be providing a section called “The Funny Bone” where I’ll be posting cartoons, videos and quotes to make you smile and laugh and learn not to take everything, including yourselves, so seriously.
Lastly, check out my “Links” page where I provide links to people, books, videos and other stuff you might find useful. Feel free to post your thoughts and you can email me at email@example.com.
